東北大学総合知デジタルアーカイブ事業の一環として、今年度も特別展および講演会を開催します。今年度は「災害を伝える」をテーマに、本学で所蔵する様々な資料―地学資料、文献資料、絵葉書などーを展示します。過去の災害情報は、単に昔におこった出来事がわかるもの、というだけではありません。それらを読み解くことで得られる知見は、私たちにさらなる災害への理解や今後の防災についてのアイディアをもたらします。ぜひこの機会に足をお運びください。

■2025 ToUDA Special Exhibition "Mediating Disaster Memories : Connecting Past Records with Present Lives" (Nov 17 - Dec 14)


As part of the Tohoku University Integrated Knowledge Digital Archive Project, we will hold a special exhibition and lecture this year as well. This year’s theme is "Mediating Disaster Memories," featuring various materials held by our university — geological materials, literary documents, postcards, and more. Information on past disasters is not just something that helps us understand events that happened long ago. The insights gained from deciphering them provide us with a deeper understanding of disasters and ideas for future disaster prevention. Please take this opportunity to visit.

3. How to get the venue
Address: 27-1 Kawauchi, Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture
There is no parking at either the exhibition venue or the lecture hall. Please use public transportation.

Use Sendai City Subway Tozai Line
-Get off at Kawauchi Station; it is a 5-minute walk to the affiliated library and an 8-minute walk to the Humanities and Social Sciences General Lecture Building.
-Get off at International Center Station; from West Exit 1, it is an 8-minute walk to the affiliated library and an 11-minute walk to the Humanities and Social Sciences General Lecture Building.
