The Kano Collection image

About 450 ancient maps and about 280 illustrated books and picture scrolls (about 13,700 images in total) are contained among Japanese-style books (thread-stitch binding), which have been recorded onto microfilm. Typical illustrations can be viewed in detail with an enlarged display.

The Wasan Collection image

This contains the image-database and the table data base of the Native Mathematics of Japan.

The Soseki Collection image

The Table of Contents of the "Soseki Collection" of Tohoku University can be searched and viewed.

The Akita Archive image

This contains the Table of Contents and image database of 4,300 items of "The Akita Archive" of Tohoku University. About 1,200 images among them can be magnified for viewing in detail.

The Valuable (Rare) Books image

  • The valuable (rare) book exhibition room
    A portion of main valuable (rare) books possessed by the Tohoku University Library is made available to the public through images.
  • Digital Marx/Engels
    A portion of valuable (rare) materials related to Marx and Engels possessed by the Tohoku University Library is made available to the public through images.
  • Kaitai Shinsho (Tafel Anatomia) and other items (on-campus users only)
    Some Japanese-style books possessed in the valuable (rare) item room in the Medical library are computerized and made available for perusal.
