[Main Lib.] Changes of Hours and Services in the Main Library due to the Maintenance

We plan to conduct an earthquake maintenance project from July 29th to September 18th.
In order to ensure safety, we will change hours and services during this period.
Please see the following details. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • 8/17-9/18 Opening Hours
     Building 1:weekdays 8:30-19:00( 8/25 8:30-17:00)
     Building 2:8/17-8/319/4 weekdays 9:00-16:00
          9/19/5-9/14  weekdays 8:45-17:00
    The library will be closed on weekends and public holidays.
    Periods Details
    8/7-8/9 ・Cessation of use of main floor seating and group study rooms
    8/10-8/16 ・Closed
    8/17-8/279/4 ・The main entrance is not available.
    ・The entrance, reception desk and counter will be relocated in the student reading room on the first floor of Building 1.
    ・An entrance and counter will be set up on the north side of the first floor of Building 2.
    ・All materials in the stacks will be picked up and handed over by staff.
    ・Classical materials are not available.
    ・Reading seats are only available on the first and second floors of the Student Reading Room (excluding the balcony) and from on the first to third floors of Building 2.
    ・The library closes at 17:00 only on 25th Aug.
    9/19/5-9/14 ・Except for main floor seating, group study rooms and balcony seating, all other areas and materials are available for normal use.

  • 【Extension of Summer Loan Periods】


    ・8/17-8/31 All materials in the stack will be picked up and handed over by staff.
    ・6/23-8/31 The deadline for returning stack books is extended to 12th October.
     All necessary materials must be borrowed by 9th Aug at the latest.
    ・7/14-9/21 The deadline for returning Student Reading Room & Global Learning Studyroom is extended to 12th October.
    ・Global Learning Room will to be closed from 17th Aug to 27th Aug.
    ・All necessary materials must be borrowed by 9th Aug at the latest.

  • 【For Users Outside the Campus】


    ・Only available for borrowing and returning.
    ・Visiting surveys of both Classical and general materials are not permitted in August.
    ・Regarding in September, please contact us before you visit.

    ・The schedule is subject to change due to construction progress.
